To be eligible for residency, you must meet the following requirements:
Passport
You need an active passport with at least 6 months left before expiry.
Clean Criminal Record
You must provide a clean criminal record from your country of residence. This must be no more than 3 months old, and must be apostilled.
Birth Certificate
You must provide your original birth certificate, which must also be apostilled.
Marriage Certificate
If applying as a couple, you must provide your original marriage certificate, which must also be apostilled.
Proof of Residence
You will need to provide proof of residence within Paraguay. We can provide this address for you.
To be maintain your residency, you must meet the following requirements:
Time in Paraguay
You must return to Paraguay for no less than 1 day every 3 years in order to maintain your residency.
Connections to Paraguay
Your residency can technically be revoked if the government believe you do not have any viable connections to the country. In practice, this very rarely happens, but it is something to be aware of and something we will help you avoid.
If you meet these criteria, you're eligible to become a resident in Paraguay.
